Description Seraph is the highest and most splendid of the nine orders of angels. Without question, Seraph is the closest in all of heaven to the very throne of God with a primary function to circle the throne in perpetual adoration. In some Hebrew writings, Seraph is often identified with the healing flame of love. The intensity of this pure love of Spirit pours out as a flawless reflection of the Divine Love that emanates from Spirit.
Chris Theisen Beebe, Chicago, IL Member Since February 2007 Artist Statement There is something that takes place when I draw that is quite metaphoric to how I aspire to live. The moment I let go of the outcome of the piece is the moment I am no longer the artist...I am simply the conduit allowing the art to flow through me. My best works are those that happen during this release. I am frequently in awe of how effortless my art becomes and how it makes no difference which pencil I use or the type of paper, etc. The perfect piece is created through me not because of me. When I begin to believe that I am responsible for the outcome of the art, the piece becomes forced and I struggle.
